Woodland Chapel

This site is handicap accessible. The walk is about 50 feet on a level sidewalk. In the summer months, it offers an intimate location on the quiet side of the Red River Gorge in an area often overlooked. When the leaves are off the trees, a natural arch can be seen across the valley. As you can see, the sun streaming through the trees make this a beautiful spot for an evening wedding. Can hold up to 40 guest.

Hike in: Easy, about 50 feet of sidewalk to the ceremony site.

Traffic Flow: Little to Moderate

Best Time: Later Afternoon, one to two hours before sunset. If you are having a Sandstone wedding, we suggest no earlier than two hours before sunset for best lighting.

Chairs: up to 40 chairs

Type of trail: Paved sidewalk to the site. Very easy.

Accessibility: This trail is wheelchair accessible and suitable for folks who have a tough time getting around.

Footwear needed for this trail: Any footwear is suitable for this trail.

Additional Information: The aisle is 22 feet long and 55 inches wide in case you would like to bring your own aisle runner.
