Whistling Winds

I really like this hike. If you want your guest to experience a nice, moderate hike to an area that gets little traffic, this is a good spot. There are four good ceremony possibilities on this trail. An overlook, an arch, a rockhouse, and a wooded area. The photos below show of each of these areas. When choosing this spot, state your preference as well.

Hike: Moderate. .24 mile (about the distance of 4 football fields, field goal to field goal). Relatively flat hiking on a dirt path. Some uneven ground with roots.

Traffic Flow: Low to Moderate. Most days it’s very low (if any) traffic flow.

Best Time: Early Morning, Early Evening, Sunset. No shade, not recommended for midday, afternoon weddings.

Chairs: Not feasible or safe, guest will need to stand or sit on the boulders surrounding the site.

Accessibility: This trail is not wheelchair/stroller/walker accessible and not suitable for folks who have a tough time getting around.

Footwear needed for this trail: Hiking boots or rubber soled walking shoes with good supports. Flip Flops, heels or dress shoes are not suitable for this hike. (but you can always change into dress shoes once we get to the site).
