VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING DIRECTIONS
MY TINY WEDDING WILL START THE CEREMONY ON TIME, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR WEDDING GUEST HAVE ALL THE NECESSARY INFORMATION TO MAKE IT TO THE WEDDING!
•The Red River Gorge is located about an hour southeast of Lexington, Kentucky.
• To get a general idea of where we are, you can Google “Slade, Kentucky”. That will give you a general idea…but remember, the Red River Gorge is a large area and the ceremony sites are more in the center part of the Gorge while the communities are located around the outskirts of the State and Daniel Boone National Forest.
•You will need the detailed directions that My Tiny Wedding will provide for you for the location of the actual ceremony site. They should be listed on the link the wedding couple have sent you along with the time to arrive for the wedding. Start looking for that about a week before the ceremony.
•Simply Googling “Red River Gorge”, “Slade Kentucky”, “Pine Ridge Kentucky” will not take you to the actual ceremony site…it will, however, take you the outer edges of the gorge…where the lodging is.
•Googling “My Tiny Wedding” will not get you to any of our ceremony sites… there are many sites that we use at My Tiny Wedding, so please use the link that the couple has provided to you to get your directions to the wedding site.
•Typing in the name of the ceremony location will not provide to you the directions. For instance, typing in “Chimney Top Rock” will take you to the rock, for sure…but the bottom of the rock…about 45 minutes driving distance from the top of the rock (where we will be performing the ceremony). Please follow the directions on the link we have provided for you.
There are two exits for the area:
Exit 33 – use this exit if you are staying in a cabin or renting a room in the Slade, Rogers or Stanton area.
Exit 40 – use this exit if you are going directly to the Ceremony Location from out of town. From Exit 40 follow the directions that were provide for you. The only exceptions to this rule would be the Gladie Cabin Ceremony sites.
MOST OF THE DRIVE THROUGH THE GORGE WILL NOT HAVE CELL OR INTERNET SERVICE. PLEASE PRINT OUT A COPY OF THE DIRECTIONS BEFORE YOU LEAVE FOR YOUR TRIP. You will not be able to pull up the directions online while driving through the Gorge. If you are planning on carpooling, it’s important to have a set of printed directions in your vehicle as it is easy to get separated from each other so, have the directions with you in case that happens.
MY TINY WEDDING WILL START THE CEREMONY ON TIME AS THIS IS THE TIME YOUR WEDDING COUPLE CHOSE AND TODAY IS ABOUT THEM!
Being on time is an important tool we have to make sure the couple will receive their full contractual time. The time they have chosen is important for their outdoor wedding. The time for the proper light from the sun at their location has been intentional set, especially if this is a sunrise or sunset ceremony…the sun simply will not wait for your arrival. Please be on time for lovely day!
